North East   |    Yorkshire   |

Welcome to your brief guide to the North of Doncaster. In this i’m going to mention the following areas which i personally have knowledge of:
Sprotbrough Village
Sprotbrough
Cusworth
Scawthorpe
Scawsby

Those of you who have ever been in this area will notice that I have listed these in a decending order. If a person were to continue with this below would be Woodlands/Adwick(According to friends) and then Bentley (also according to friends).

Sprotbrough Village
This is the snob land of the North of Doncaster, indeed it does have its fair share of townies and wanna-b chavs, but due to the average £200,000 per house no true chav could live here.

Sprotbrough
I personally love sprotbrough, its one of the best places in the entire of Doncaster, the newest feature of cause being the anchorage lane skate park. Now, there are a few characters around here that don’t come for the skating, and its a place to avoid on thursday nights/friday before 8.
Luckily however the rift between ‘chavs/sweaties’ here is starting to patch up. (Really Good news, considering the Chavs come in large numbers from Bentley).
If there ever was a battle ground, a place worth fighting for, Sprotbrough is the front line. With the highest percentage of skater boys/bmx’ers in the youth population.

Cusworth
This is a very debatable area..close to nearby Scawsby makes the wonderful countryside and attractive place to down white lightning, but with this area mostly populated by old people and well off people there are no chavs that actually live here.

Scawthorpe
This is one area with a terrible reputation, but to be fair to Scawthorpe, its a very safe area. Unless you’re stupid enough to go onto the row of shops next to Don Valley during out of school hours then you have nothing to worry about. Occasionaly a few drift away from the shops and merge with those from nearby Bentley to wander the streets to shout abuse at people, but in general no worries..

Scawsby
As i write about this area it worries me deeply as to my own personal safety. The huge wanna-b chav percentage here is incredible. Street corners, the back of Aldi, outside shops, the park’s are the most aggressive people you will ever meet. Always ready for a fight if you don’t learn to run you’ll have to learn to take on 3 at a time (minimum). Even if you can manage this, the backlash would be so incredible you’d be better to move house, go under the witness protection act and never leave your house again and never consider making contact with the outside world.
Avoid eye contact where possible, but always keep you’re eyes open. Never take your mind off this for a second, keep eyes open, listen out for people walking/shouting nearby.
If in day time you become a target, shout out for help! Even on main road’s you’re not safe, for gods sake put you’re defense up and lash out controllably. At night, i suggest making sure chains do not make a noise, tread lightly and keep you’re eyes and ears open. If you are spotted, run for your life, never let them follow you home (i’ve had to outrun BMX’s before, wasnt too easy, remember on foot you can dodge traffic easier).
Thank god i never have to pass through that hell hole again!
