A cotton town in the North West with a proud hisory but a blighted present. The town centre is, of course, where most of the ******** hang out and there have been some attempts to make it look presentable in the recent past although it is difficult to hide the horrible, sixties style concrete shopping centre.
A nearby area called Gee Cross used to be where you could have a decent standard of living but the drunks and druggies have taken over and the shops now need very strong steel bars to keep them out. The local church yard is the place to be to find your used hypodermics and condoms.
Not a nice place any more.
